Work Experience

Camp Mystic – Head Photographer

This past summer I worked as the head photographer at an all girls summer camp located in Hunt, Texas. My job was to take pictures of the campers during their scheduled, daily activities as well as various nighttime activities. I also delegated jobs to the two assistant photographers and uploaded the pictures to the camp website for parents and friends to view. I was able to combine my interest for photography with my aspirations of becoming a businesswoman because my photographs could be purchased through the camp website, if the parents so desired.

à bientôtSales Associate

Both in 2010 and 2011, I worked as a sales associate at a local boutique in Houston, Texas called à bientôt. Located in the prestigious and high-traffic area of River Oaks, I would handle transactions with daily totals ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. I assisted costumers in their jewelry and apparel selections, as well as placing special orders with various companies. In addition, I organized displays of merchandise in the boutique for optimal and efficient shopping. I learned valuable skills from this job including costumer service and the financial side of a small business.

PaperCity Magazine - Summer Intern

In the Summer of 2009 I interned for a local fashion and lifestyle magazine in Houston, Texas called PaperCity Magazine. Daily activities would consist of organizing office files according to inventory standars and updating computer records on past issues of the magazine. I attended a photo shoot of a prestigious Houston retail and residential development and wrote an article appearing in the August issue of the Magazine. This internship sparked my interest in photography and design.
